Avoriaz was built in the 1960s as a pure ski village — no roads, no cars, no engine noise. The whole village is built down the slope, and every apartment is accessible directly on skis. Jacques Labro's signature timber architecture makes it look as if it grew out of the mountain itself.

Aquariaz — tropical pool
An indoor water park with tropical greenery, slides and waves — right in the middle of the village at 1,800 m. A hit with kids and adults.
Skiing into Switzerland
Cross the ridge at Pas du Chavanette and ski down into the Swiss villages of Morgins and Champéry. Lunch in Switzerland, ski home to France.

"The Swiss Wall" — one of the steepest pisted runs in the world, around 50% gradient. Experts only. Not feeling it? There's a chairlift to bypass.

Avoriaz FAQ

You park in the car park at the edge of the village, then take a short cable car or snow taxi to your apartment. In peak season there's a shuttle from the car park. We coordinate it in advance so you're not dragging luggage in the snow.
On foot (everything is close — the village is small), via the snow taxis run by restaurants and hotels, or in small electric vehicles. In winter, most places are reached simply on skis — the village IS the slope.
Absolutely. There's a wide beginner area at Lil' Stash and Plateau, with gentle green and blue runs and Hebrew/English-speaking instructors we work with. The village itself is great for toddlers thanks to the absence of cars.
650 km of connected runs — you can ski for a whole week without repeating a piste. Crossing into Switzerland (Champéry, Morgins) is its own special experience: morning in France, lunch in Switzerland.
Yes. All our apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen, so you can cook and prepare for Shabbat in the apartment. Choose the dates that work for you — we'll handle the rest.
